James "J.T." Garner

Mr. James "J.T." Garner, 56, of Hagerstown, Maryland., passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the York Hospital, York, Pennsylvania.
Born June 9, 1958 in Bethesda, Maryland., he was the son of Elizabeth (Fitzgerald) Garner of Emmitsburg, Maryland and the late William A. Garner, Sr.
J.T was employed as a truck driver for Food Lion for 16 years.
J.T. enjoyed driving a truck and cooking for his family. He loved biscuits and gravy and apple pie, fishing, old country music, the occasional beer, and a good laugh.
In addition to his mother he is survived by two daughters Sharon Harvey and husband Nicholas of Ranson, West Virginia and Krista Garner of Thurmont, Maryland; two sisters, Leah Garner of Emmitsburg, Maryland, and Cynthia Haley and husband Leo of El Paso, Texas; and one brother, William A. Garner, Jr. and wife Joyce of Thurmont, Maryland. He is also survived by two nieces Rebecca and Taylor Garner, and two nephews Frank and Jack Haley.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015, at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.
