James "Izzy" Nelson

James “Izzy” Robert Nelson, 43, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born on May 31, 1971, in Hagerstown, he is the son of Mary E. (Springer) Holmes of Keedysville, Maryland, and the late James Nelson.
Izzy was employed with Colby Roofing in Hagerstown.
In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his daughter, Kursti A. Nelson of Hagerstown; his grandmother, Jane Howell, and step grandfather, Autry Howell, of Martinsburg, West Virgina.; four sisters, Barbara Holmes of Keedysville, Penny Catlett and Teresa Holmes, both of Hagerstown, and Lisa Seabeck of Georgia; one brother, Bob Holmes Jr. of Clear Spring, Maryland.; and his good friend, Chuck Lowry.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by stepfather, Bob Holmes Sr.; and his brother, Gary Nelson.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2014, at Chestnut Grove Bible Church, 3636 Chestnut Grove Road in Keedysville. Rev. David B. Manley will officiate.
