James "Donald" Ganley

April 8, 1930 — April 1, 2011

Mr. James “Donald” Ganley, 80 of Ijamsville, MD., passed away Friday, April 1, 2011.  He was the husband of Arlene Sigler Ganley.

Born April 8, 1930 in  Boyds, MD, he was the son of the late Joseph Mackin and Nettie Swartzbach Ganley.

Mr. Ganley was a member of St. Ignatius of Loyola.  He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps.  Donald worked at Maloney Concrete for 32 years and Genstar for 5 years before retiring.  He loved NASCAR, Hunting, fishing, his garden and also going to sales.  He will forever be loved and missed.

In addition to his wife are four children Mary Yeatts, James Ganley, Jr, Steve Ganley and David Ganley, grandchildren Mathew Ganley, Jonathan Ganley, Jeremy Hartmeyer, Megan Hooper and James Ganley, III, a brother Joe Ganley and sister Gertrude White.  He was preceded in death by a grandson Joe Hartmeyer, brothers and sisters Bernard and Eddie Ganley, Agnes Gay, Mary Mocklin, Bernadine Tennenberg and Marie Colesar.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, on Monday, April 4, 2011 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm, where service will be held Tuesday, April 5, at 11:00 am with Rev. Michael J. Jendrek officiating.

Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
