James Robert "Bobby" Wentzell, 51, of 703 Orchard Manor Drive, Boonsboro, died Saturday, May 26, 2007 at Washington County Hospital.
Born November 14, 1955 in Charlestown, WV, he was the son of the late Edna Ashbaugh Wentzell Greenwalt and Frank E. Wentzell.
He was employed by National Geographic.
He was a member of Church of Christ at Hagerstown near Beaver Creek.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Deborah K. "Debbie" Wentzell; step-daughter Michelle L. Rock of Blue Ridge Summit, PA; step-son Bradley W. Poffenberger of Clear Spring, MD; sisters, Alice Mills of Sandy Hook, MD, Linda Neff of Winchester, VA and Mary Staubs of Harpers Ferry, WV; one brother, Stanley Butts of Sandy Hook, MD; 5 step-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and his best friend Jesse Ault.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Wentzell and Patricia Weaver; three brothers, Frank Wentzell, Edward Wentzell and Kenneth Wentzell.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 30 at Boonsboro Cemetery. Rev. R. Thomas Fralin, Jr. will officiate.
The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. at Bast Funeral Home in Boonsboro which will be open for family and friends at 9 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family, c/o Michelle L. Rock, P.O. Box 703 Blue Ridge Summit, PA 17214.
