James Tucker

Mr. James E. Tucker, 89, of Mount Pleasant, died on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Glade Valley Nursing Center. He was the husband of June ( Lochner ) Tucker, his wife of 65 years.

Born on January 28, 1921 in Frederick, he was the son of the late Harvey J. And Mildred ( Stup ) Tucker.  Mr. Tucker was a lifetime member of Mount Pleasant Reformed United Church of Christ.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served 3 ½ years during WW II. He was a charter member of the Mt. Pleasant Ruritan Club. He was employed as a sales manager for Frederick Iron and Steel . Mr. Tucker enjoyed playing cards with his family.

Surviving beside his wife are three children; Michael Tucker and wife Anna of  Rockville, Linda J.T. McGinnes and husband Robert of Frederick, Timothy Tucker and wife Cyndi of Fairfield, PA. , three grandchildren, Brad Tucker, Jennifer Holler and husband Mike, Andrew McGinnes and wife Kristen, one great-granddaughter, Madyson McGinnes and three step-grandchildren, Chris Arnold, Lauren Flynt and Andrea Manchester.

Family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, on Friday, July 16th, from 10:00 a.m. To 12:00 noon at which time services will begin. Rev. David G. Beeson will officiate.

Interment in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
