James Politz

Mr. James C. Politz, 75 of Frederick, MD passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at his home. He was the husband of Marsha Lee Politz for 53 years.

Born January 20, 1936 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late William and Marie Agnes Maguire Politz.

James was an avid fisherman and boater. He was very passionate about the ocean. James was also a dedicated Notre Dame football and basketball fan. He was extremely brilliant and admired by his friends and colleagues as a mentor.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his four children Cynthia Hollis of Boonsboro, MD, Janice Politz of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Robert Politz of Frederick, MD and Debra Ellerbe of Pawley’s Island, SC; 7 grandsons and 3 granddaughters; brother Richard Politz of Key Largo, FL; cousin Joanne Lindsey of Margate, NJ; mother-in-law Dorothy Funkhouser of Boonsboro, MD and his beloved dog Willey Wonka.

A Requiem Mass will be offered Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 2:00 PM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 118 East 2 ^nd Street, Frederick. Father Miguel Mateo will be the celebrant.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 11602 Kemp Mill Road Silver Spring, MD 20902-1718 .
