James Louis McErlain, 72, of Stottlemyer Road, Boonsboro, MD, died Saturday, May 26, 2007 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg, WV.
Born March 3, 1935 in Camden, NJ, he was the son of the late John Louis and Netta Marshley McErlain.
He was a veteran serving with the United States Air Force.
He was employed as a coffee salesman with Standard Coffee for 21 years and was a substitute teacher for the Boonsboro High School.
He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Hagerstown.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sharron L. McErlain; one daughter, Danielle N. Sipes of Hagerstown; two sons, James L. McErlain, II of Oakland, CA and Sean P. McErlain of Boonsboro; one brother, John P. McErlain of Penns Grove, NJ; one sister, Joan Bohn of Medway, ME; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services with military honors will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 4 at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery, Flintstone, MD.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1 to 3 p.m. at Bast Funeral Home in Boonsboro which will be open at 11 a.m. for the convenience of friends.
