A Family Man, A Hero
What do we call a man who touched so many: Mose, Uncle Mo, Jimmy, Sonny, Jim, James; he was a man of many names. No doubt, he was a great man with a sundry of titles; a loving Husband, a faithful Brother, a caring Dad, a giving Granddad, an inspiring Uncle, an incredible Friend. He was and always will be a shining star in hard times, a true confidant to all; I think he is, above all titles, a Hero to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him in his 77 years on this Earth. He showed through action how important family is in life, defined through deeds the word giving, and showed us how important God is in a family in his journey. He is the epitome of a Family Man. He once said, “Since 1957 Lil and I have not been without a child in my house and I wouldn’t trade a second of it for anything.” God so graced the world with James W. Kidwell Sr.’s presence and with that said; shall be missed dearly by everyone he cared for in his walk of life.
He was a husband to Lil and a father of five wondrous children; Jenny, Jimmy Jr. (deceased), Richard (wife Miyuki), Ronnie (wife Kris), Judy (husband Neel Sr.). Those 5 wondrous children gave birth to a legacy of twelve grandchildren; Maranda (husband Brandon), Paul (Wife Jessica), Cole, Casey (Fiancée Jordan), Lydia, Alex, Jacob, Emma, James III, Johnathan, Bryn, and Neel Jr.. That heritage ever furthered through eight great grandchildren; Caleb, Jonathan, Abigail, Raegan, Maggie, Peyton, Austin, and Samuel. His wonderful sister Mary Alice Taylor (husband and friend to Sonny; Preston Taylor) survives him. He will live on through the memories and the shared stories spoken by all of the family, friends who were family, friends, and acquaintances. (Carpe Diem)
