Mr. James Kendall,69 , of Mt. Airy passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 at the Carroll Hospital Center. He was the husband of Karen Kesner Kendall.
Born July 31, 1943 in Rockville, MD he was the son of the late James G. Kendall, Sr. and Agnes M. Griffiths Kendall.
Mr. Kendall proudly served his country in the United States Navy Seabees. James was a member of the AMVETS, Black Smith's Guild, Carroll Co. Branch, Knife Smith Guild, Gun Smith Guild, the National Rifle Association and the William Moran Memorial Foundation. James enjoyed hunting, fishing and blacksmithing.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children James George Kendall, III of Annapolis and Ruth Angela Kendall of Mt. Airy; sisters Agnes Joseph of VA, Diane Ellison of GA and Ann Burrows of PA; nephews Ronnie Haines, Sean Ellison, Victor Genson, Glenn Connoley, Carlton Fletcher Burrows and 1 niece Caran Leahy.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mt. Airy Friday, November 23, 2012 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 24 at 11 AM at Mt. Airy Baptist Church, 1402 N. Main St., Mt. Airy. Dr. Michael Trammell will officiate.
Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
