James Judd, Jr.

James Benjamin Judd, Jr. age 77, of Frederick, Maryland passed away on June 5, 2012. Jim was born on July 16, 1934, in Baltimore, Maryland.  After receiving his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Maryland, Jim spent 35 years in the Montgomery County Public School System as a Social Studies teacher and as an Administrator.  Following his retirement from the school system, Jim mentored education students at Mount St. Mary's College in Emmittsburg for 12 years.  He recently served as a commissioner for the Frederick County Department of Aging.  Jim is survived by his wife Jean Baughman Judd, his sister Carole of Spokane, Washington, sons Cary, Kenn and Tom,  stepsons Ben and David Lieb and 7 grandchildren.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. Friends are invited to share memories of Jim on Saturday, June 9, at the Stauffer Funeral Home 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick Maryland from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM followed by a memorial service at 1PM.  A private interment will follow the service.
