Sr., 90, of Damascus, MD passed away peacefully on
Friday, April 8, 2011 at his home in Damascus, MD. He was the beloved husband
of Audrey Dixon Haines whom have shared almost 70 years of life.

Haines, Sr . He is survived by 3 siblings, Otis Haines of Adamstown, MD, Maize
Watkins of F r ederick, MD and Gertrude Solenburger of Winchester, VA. He is pre-
deceased by 3 brothers, Walter, Jr., Howard and John Haines, all of Damascus, 1
grandson, Shannon Clayton formerly of West Virginia and one son-in-law John
Rodgers Wease, formerly of Seneca, Maryland.

William enjoyed farming, hunting and his dog "Oscar"

More than anything he
loved his grandchildren who he said "kept him young". He was affectionately
known by his family as "Daddy" , " Granddaddy", and "Pops" .

Harmony, NC, Judy Williams and husband Frankie of Woodsboro, MD, Joanne
Clayton and husband Bob Powell, of Mt. Airy, MD, Jeannie Wease Littrell and
husband Leo of Gettysburg, PA, June Houston, and husband Jim, of Senoia, GA
and Jackie E. Haines, Sr . and Terri, of Damascus, MD. His family also contained 18
grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Monday April 11, 2011 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville Blvd. Mt. Airy, where services will be held on Tuesday, April 12, at 11:00am. Pastor Eleizer Valentin-Castanon will deliver the eulogy.
