Mr. James Richard Gray, 67, of Jefferson, died on Sunday, August 31 at his residence. He was the husband of Martha Katherine Sonnenberg Gray, his wife of 46 years.
Born on October 19, 1946 in Washington, DC, he was the son of Melvin Donald Gray of Houston, TX and the late Catherine Sigwald Bennetts. James was a computer programer running his own company. He was a member of the Ki Society prompted by his interest in martial arts. Jim enjoyed working on cars especially hot rods, robots or anything mechanical. He also love Old English Sheep Dogs of which he had four.
Surviving in addition to his wife and father are a brother Dean Streeks and wife Deborah of Thurmont as well as additional siblings: Billy Gray, Eddie Gray, Alan Gray and Sandra Gray Stevens. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Streeks.
A memorial gathering will be held Saturday September 20, 2014, from 2 to 4 pm at the Jefferson Ruritan Center, 4603B Lander Rd., Jefferson, MD. 21755.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to New England Old English Sheepdog Rescue, 49 Stonehedge Road, Lincoln, MA 01773.
