James Fitzsimmons, Jr.

Mr. James S. Fitzsimmons, Jr., 78, of Myersville, Maryland, passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 at his home. He was the husband of Constance Alvey Fitzsimmons.
Born August 3, 1937 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late James S., Sr., and Catherine Sullivan Fitzsimmons.
Mr. Fitzsimmons attended Zion Lutheran Church. In earlier years, he was owner and operator of Fitz’s Antiques in Boonsboro. James was a member of the American Legion.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children Bridget Burge and husband Steven of Middletown and James S. Fitzsimmons, III and wife Martha of Hagerstown, grandchildren Katherinne Fitzsimmons, Beverly Fitzsimmons, Joshua Burge, James S. Fitzsimmons, IV and Emily Burge, great grandchildren Michelle Griffin, Brian Stone, and Rylee Burge and a sister Catherine Gilbert and husband Robert of Arizona.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, January 21, at 11:00 am, from Zion Lutheran Church, 107 W. Main St., Middletown, Maryland.
Interment will be private
