James Dobratz

James "Jim" Dobratz, 54, of Arlington, Virginia, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the Baltimore Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
Born on January 23, 1964 in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of Robert and Ellen (Krebs) Dobratz of Southport, North Carolina.
Having obtained his Bachelor of Science degree, Jim graduated from UMBC and, for 15 years, was employed with DBS then completed his working career as Vice President at Systems X Design.
He was a Miami Dolphins fan, loved golfing and his family.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Jeffrey Dobratz and his wife, Jamie of Frederick; nephew, Justin Dobratz; and a niece, Julie Dobratz.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick with Rev. Tim May officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
