James Davies, Jr.

James William Davies, 88, of Frederick, MD passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017. He was born in Baltimore, MD on October 12, 1928 to the late James Marvin Davies and Beulah May Davies. Jim is survived by his wife, Janice Davies; sons, Rick and Kim Davies; daughter, Pam Courson; daughter-in-law, Betty Davies; son-in-law, Paul Courson; and grandson, Chris Davies.
Jim attended school in Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC. He served in the US Navy from December 1945 until October 1947 during the Operation CROSSROADS, Bikini Atoll Atomic Bomb tests in the Pacific Islands. With his passion for baseball, he enjoyed serving 10 years as a coach for his son's Little League and Babe Ruth baseball leagues. Jim worked for Comico Foods, High's Diary, Capitol Milk and Morningstar Foods, retiring in 1990 as Director of Distribution.
