James Michael Crowe

James Michael Crowe, 59, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024 at his home. He was the son of the late James Henely Robertson and Betty Dolores Crowe (Wilson) of Taneytown. 

James worked for Shelton Plumbing and Heating for 12 years. He was a volunteer at Libertytown Fire Department for many years. He enjoyed volunteering at the carnival and truck and tractor pulls. James was an avid Nascar fan and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He loved the outdoors, camping and spending time with family and friends. He especially loved taking all the kids to Loys Station to play in the creek and catch crayfish. 

James is survived by his three daughters, Shelby Crowe, Jamie Manis and Tabitha Vanleeuwen and spouse Josh Vanleeuwen and children. He is also survived by his sisters Brenda Crowe Barker and daughters Kelly and Crystal (deceased), Sherry Robertson, Sharon Kelley and spouse Darrin Kelley and son Samuel Kelley, Sandra Crowe and spouse Daryl Pierce; his brothers Kenneth Wilson and Charles Crowe Jr. (deceased), and numerous nieces and nephews. 

James had many friends. The family is especially grateful for the love, care and support given by Cindy and Eddie Shelton and Colin Lynch. James also is remembered by his dear friends Brenda and Gary Deener. 

Per his wishes there will be no formal services. The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
