James Blumenauer
January 16, 1932 — July 30, 2017
Mr James O. Blumenauer, 85, of Lewes, DE, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017. He was the husband of the beloved Margretta Blumenauer for 61 years.
Born January 16, 1932, in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late George and Sallie (Watkins) Blumenauer.
He was a graduate of Frederick High School. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He worked in telecommunications at Fort Detrick for many years.
In addition to his wife he is survived by four children, Wesley Blumenauer and wife Christine, Dawn Enfield and husband Bobby, Tanya Dunham and husband Terry and Sallie Fauble and husband Luke, 10 grandchildren, Drew, Jamie, Jessie, Kristen, Erin, Taylor, Lindsay, James, Bradley, Marley, and Maddie, one great grandchild, Eve and a brother Donald Blumenauer.
He was predeceased by a brother, Leonard Blumenauer, a sister, Edith Remsberg, and a grandchild Brian Blumenauer.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 9-10AM where a funeral service will begin at 10AM. Rev. Tim May will officiate.
Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
