James John Ambot, 83, of Frederick, Maryland, was called home on Friday, October 4, 2024 at his home.
Born on April 15, 1941, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late John and Jackie Ambot.
Jim was always a hardworking man! He served 20 years in the United States Navy. After being honorably discharged, he went into date processing. Jim usually worked at least two jobs to secure his future. He dreamed of hopping in his RV and traveling one day. Jim enjoyed traveling, and bowling. He loved football, eating out, and most of all, he loved meeting new people! He loved to talk! If you ever needed anything, Jim was always willing to lend a helping hand. He would do whatever he could to help anyone and did so without complaining. He will be forever missed, especially his smile and his contagious laugh.
Jim will be missed by his daughter, Debbie Ambot-Ford and her husband, Joseph; his son, Wayne Ambot and his wife, Denise; sister, Debbie Marinelli; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sons, Mike and Jimmy Ambot; and his sister, Monica Roppelt.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick. Final resting place ceremonies will take place at Arlington National Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be offered to the family at StaufferFuneralHome.com.
