Jacqueline "Jackie" Timmons

Jacqueline J. "Jackie" Timmons, 74, formerly of Boonsboro, died on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at the Martinsburg City Hospital.

Born on April 10, 1937 in Long Branch, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Anna (Gormley) Johnson.  Her husband, Orville Donald Timmons, preceded her in death in 1992.

Jackie was a 1956 graduate of the Long Branch High School.  She was employed as a switchboard operator at the Western Maryland Hospital Center for 21 years.

She is survived by her three sons, Robert L. Timmons of California, Thomas K. Timmons of Martinsburg and Rockey A. Timmons of Keedysville; her step-daughter, Lois Snyder of Chambersburg; one sister Barbara Waters of New Jersey; one brother, Thomas Johnson of Virginia; and one step-brother Lester Johnson of New Jersey.  She is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 15, 2011 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. Rev. Joseph C. Burdette, Sr. will officiate.  Burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at the funeral home.
