Jacob "Jake" Loudon

November 20, 1997 — February 12, 2015

Jacob "Jake" M.  Loudon, 17, loving son, grandson, brother, nephew, and friend to all he met, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed away from this life on Thursday, February 12, 2015.

Born on November 20, 1997, in Shady Grove, Maryland, he is the son of Brian and Toni (Dorfman) Loudon.

Jake was a senior at Catoctin High School who enjoyed living life to the fullest and being with his family and friends. He also loved hunting with his father, big brother, Nathan, and grandfather, and was a member of the Maverick Hunting Club. Jake took great pride in his truck that he was planning on restoring in the near future, and, thanks to his friends and their generous donations, the family will be restoring his truck to the exact way Jake wanted, which will be in honor of him. He loved to work on his truck with his dad and brother.

Jacob will forever be remembered by his family and friends as a quick-witted, intelligent young man with a contagious smile that would light up a room. He was a very helpful young man and would stop what he was doing to help his family or anybody that needed a ride home from school or work. Jake will forever be missed, but his presence will always be around, especially through his Uncle Tracy, who Jake was a "carbon copy" of.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Nathan Loudon of Thurmont; and his sister, Shannon Loudon, also of Thurmont; his maternal grandparents, Steve and Pat Dorfman of Frederick and his paternal grandparents, William and Carmella Loudon of Frederick; his paternal aunt, Beth Jones and husband, Tom of  Phoenix, AZ and his maternal uncle, Tracy Dorfman, his fianceé, Natalija and daughter Alona of Martinsburg, West Virginia.  He is also survived by his cousins, Emily and Carley Jones along with multiple other aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015, at the Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 104 East Main Street, Thurmont, Maryland 21788.  Pastor Andrew Pennington will officiate. Final resting-place ceremonies will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, in Frederick.

Family will be present to receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2015, at the funeral home in Thurmont.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to our family, friends, the Thurmont Ambulance Company, Thurmont Police Department, and the  Thurmont community for all their prayers and support.
