Jackson G. Loudin, age 75 of Walkersville, MD, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 22, 2014. He was born July 23, 1939 in Weston, WV, the son of the late Roy Guy and Geneviene Newell Loudin, Jack was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Jerry Loudin.
Survived by his loving wife, Mary Loudin of 40 years, daughter Marcella Loudin and significant other, David Pope of Nashville, TN. Son Scott Loudin and wife Jenny of Flagtown, NJ. Son Mark Loudin and friend Debi of Falling Waters, WV. Son Kevin Long and wife Julie of London, England. Daughter Kristina Scott and husband Barry of Olney, MD. Three grandsons, Christopher Loudin, Lonnie McLain III, and Ian Nathaniel McLain, three granddaughters, Alexi Della Loudin, Megan Long, and Casey Long, two sisters, Joan Loving and husband John of Cleveland, TN, and Judy Dodson and husband Jack of Hernando, MS, sister-in-law Sally Loudin of Falls Church, VA. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews, who thought the world of their Uncle Jack. He was dearly loved by all.
Jack was a graduate of Weston High School in Weston, WV. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps with Honors, and was a Baptist by faith. Besides being a man of honor, he enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes and cribbage, and most of all cherished cooking and preparing meals for his family. He spent most of his professional career working in Theater Entertainment Management (30 years), and later became a business owner of Holiday Cinemas in Frederick, MD. He enjoyed being a part of the Frederick community, and forged a lasting legacy of offering family movie tickets at an affordable price. He will be greatly missed by all.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26 at Fredericktowne Baptist Church, 8645 Biggs Ford Road, Walkersville with Pastor Todd Heishman officiating.
Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
