Jack David Simpson

Jack David Simpson, 80, of Hedgesville, West Virginia, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

Jack was born on February 1, 1943 and raised on a farm in Lovettsville, Virginia.  He was the son of the late Roy Franklin Simpson and Mary Elizabeth Roelkey Simpson.

He is survived by his wife, Carletta E. Simpson, of 43 years; his nephews, Dennis Sherrill, Jr. and wife, Sheila, and Todd Kaetzel and wife, Danielle.

Jack filled his life with agricultural farming and hauling produce until his retirement. He was a self-taught master wood worker.  It gave Jack great pleasure to share his creations with family and friends. Every time you saw Jack, he had something to share from his vegetable garden or fruit trees. 

Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, December 18, 2023 at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Frederick with Deacon John Manley officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Don Simpson, Dennis Sherrill, Jr., Todd Kaetzel, Hunter Kaetzel, Austin Shaw and Brennan Shaw.
