Mr. Jack H. Buckles, 88 of Frederick, Maryland passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Billie Leonard Buckles.
Born, March 12, 1923 in Elizabethton, TN he was the son of the late James and Jennie Buckles.
Mr. Buckles served in the United States Navy.
He was a member of Grace Community Church in Frederick, the Masonic Lodge #238, Local 602 Steamfitters Union and the American Legion in Frederick.
In addition to his wife Billie, he is survived by his daughter, Lydia Talley and husband William of Frederick, son, Tony Buckles and wife Nancy of Stafford, Virginia, a sister, Vada Moore of Tennessee, four grandchildren, Jonathan Buckles, Elizabeth Deck, Jason Talley and Jordan Talley, five great grandchildren, Brenton Buckles, Madeline Buckles, Elizabeth Buckles, Catherine Buckles and Emilia Deck, and a great grandson on the way, Mason William Talley.
He is preceded in death by a son, James Hayward Buckles, his brothers, Guy, John, Robert, Luther, Dewey, Tompkin and Conley Buckles and a sister, Edna Parlier.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike Frederick on Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 7:00-9:00PM.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 1:00PM with Pastor James Dewar officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
