Mrs. J. Margel Sikorski, 88, of Walkersville, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Reeder's Memorial Home in Boonsboro. She was the wife of the late Richard A. Sikorski, who predeceased her in 2000.
Born August 24, 1924 in Waynesboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Carrie Pottorff.
She is survived by four children, Diana (Dini) C. Fritz, and husband, Fred; Peggy M. Schildt, and husband, Don, Sr.; Bradford L. Sheppard and wife, Autumn; and Jan S. Sheppard and wife, Colleen; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Grace Sheppard Mellott; and her best friend, Dottie Gall.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, S. David Sheppard, II; three grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January, 3, 2013 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 40 Fulton Ave., Walkersville. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 4 from the funeral home chapel with the family receiving friends from 10 a.m. until time of services. Officiating will be the Rev. Richard Baker.
Interment will be private.
