Ivy Valentini

Ivy Valentini , 91, of Mount Airy, Maryland, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Born on December 22, 1931, in New Bedford, MA, she was the daughter of the late Maria St. Onge. She lived in Maryland for most of her life.

She was the loving wife of Walter Valentini, her husband of 61 years.

Ivy was a stay at home mom for many years.  Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Super Giant and Entenmann's Thrift Bakery Store in Rockville, Maryland.

Ivy loved to spend time with family and friends.  She was known was an excellent cook and hosted many wonderful dinner parties.  She loved the beach and going to Ocean City, Maryland for summer family vacations.  Ivy was a woman of faith, strength, and grace.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband, Walter R. Valentini she is survived by daughter, Norma Maria Valentini of Germantown, Maryland, daughter-in-law, Tammy Valentini of Mount Airy, Maryland, sister-in-laws, Connie Valentini, Beatrice Albino and Mary Albino.  She is also survived by nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

She is preceded in death by her son, Andrew Vincent Valentini; brothers, Eli (Rocky) Albino, Robert (Bobby) Albino and John Albino.

A celebration of Ivy's life will take place graveside at Pine Grove Cemetery in Mount Airy on Monday, February 6, 2023 at 1:45pm. Father Paul Sparklin will officiate.
