Isiah "Ike" Whitby

Isiah, “Ike” Matthew Whitby of Frederick, MD passed away on March 28, 2016.
He was born September 5, 1985 to Randolph E. Whitby and Anne M. (Crosland) Whitby at Shady Grove Hosp. in Gaithersburg MD.
Isiah graduated from Frederick H.S. and entered the U.S. Airforce in Sept. 2007. He was deployed to Iraq and received the Iraq Campaign Medal with 1 service star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon with Gold Border. He was discharged with an Honorable Discharge.
Isiah loved & played baseball from the time he was 6 yrs. old. He played at Angleberger Field and then Frederick Babe Ruth until he was 18.
Isiah loved playing with his children, the outdoors, especially Hunting & Fishing & he also loved riding his motorcycle. He was a member of the Middletown United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Ashley N. Whitby and 2 children Isiah Matthew Whitby Jr. born on his birthday, September 5, 2008 and Aurora Odell Whitby born April 13, 2011, an un-born son due on their anniversary July 28th and also by both parents. He is also survived by his siblings; Damon K. Whitby, Song C. Lopez-Krist, Andre L. Lopez and Zachariah Winter-Hawk Whitby. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Isiah & Perma Whitby & Lewis & Sara Crosland.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, April 22, from 5:00-7:00PM. A memorial service celebrating Isiah’s life with military honors will begin at 7:00pm with Rev. Tim May officiating.
