Irma Mae "Towie" Vallaster joined her heavenly family and friends on February 7, 2012. Irma was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey in 1919 to Robert and Emma Shewell. She married Richard Valllaster in 1942 and was the proud mother of three daughters and one son. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard, three brothers, her daughter, Judith, and her grandson, Scott. She is survived by two daughters, one son, their spouses, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her very special cousin, Glory, sister-in-law, Martha, cousins, and nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be celebrating Irma's warm and loving life and our gratefulness for being blessed to share it with her.
Viewing will be held at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick Monday, February 20 at 11:00AM with services following at 12:00PM.
In honor of Irma's deep love and compassion for animals, donations may be made in lieu of flowers, to the Frederick County Animal Shelter, 12 E. Church St.,Frederick, MD 21701, Animal Welfare League of Frederick County, 1202 E. Patrick St., #13A, Frederick, MD 21701 or animal shelter organizations of your choice.
