Iris Powers

Mrs. Iris G. Powers, 84, of Frederick, died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, at Country Meadows Assisted Living, Frederick. She was the wife of the late Billy Powers, who died in 1984.
Born May 6, 1926, in Roanoke, Va., she was the daughter of the late Taylor Jefferson and Victoria S. Lawless Graham.
Surviving are three children, Charles Powers and wife, Diane, of Frederick, Vicki Lynn Powers of Alexandria, Va., and Sandra Conley and husband, Bill, of Walla Walla, Wash.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three brothers, Don, Robert Alan and Ernie D. Graham. She was preceded in death by sisters, Dovie Tribbett, Mary Possin and Lenna Collins; and brothers, Kenneth and Russell Graham.
Graveside services and interment will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, in Arlington National Cemetery, Va. Those desiring to attend should arrive a half-hour early and meet at the cemetery administration building.
