Irene Virginia Draper, 77, of Hagerstown and formerly of Boonsboro, died Friday, August 31, 2007 at Washington County Hospital.
Born August 30, 1930 in Martinsburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late David Pierce and Lula Myers Seylar.
She was formerly employed with E.J. Fennel Co. in Hagerstown and retired in 1996 from Washington Co. Board of Education at Boonsboro High School.
She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church in Hagerstown.
She is survived by her husband, James T. Draper, Jr.; one son, David E. Draper of Findlay, OH, one sister, Marian Smith of Mercersburg, PA; one brother, Carl Seylar of Chambersburg, PA; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Ann Powell; and one sister, Geraldine Morris.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 5 at Bast Funeral Home in Boonsboro. Pastor James Moore will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery in Clear Spring.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral Home.
