Iona Toms

Mrs. Iona Drumheller Toms, 103, of Frederick , died on Friday July 29, 2011 at Citizens Care and Rehab Center . She was the wife of the late Bledsoe Toms who died in 1975.
Born in Faber , Virginia on December 17, 1907 she was the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Geneva Mawyer Drumheller.
Iona spent her life in Nelson County and Albemarle County Virginia until March of 2003 when she moved to Frederick with her son and daughter-in-law Rudy and Faye Toms.
She is survived by her son, Rudolph Toms and his wife Faye. Granddaughter, Terry Paquette and her husband Stephen. Great Grandchildren, Brandi, Drew, Erin, Travis and his wife Adele and Jeremy. Great great Grandchildren, Jadis, Dylan, Connor, Christopher, Elisabeth and Luke. Also survived by one sister, Edith Ragland of Crewe , VA and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Gloria Ann Ritenour in 1988.
At Iona ’s request, there will be no funeral services. Her ashes will be taken at a future date to her final resting place along side her husband in Monticello Memorial Park , Charlottesville , VA.
