Howard Campbell

Mr. Howard C. Campbell, 94, of Frederick, MD passed away Friday, November 27, 2015 at his home. He was the beloved husband of the late Annie A. Campbell.

Born February 9, 1921 in Front Royal, VA he was the son of the late Robert Lee and Rosie A. Williams Campbell.

Howard proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, during WWII at the European Theater. He was an infantry man and a messenger, earning a Bronze Star for distinguished service. Howard was a founding member of Calvary Assembly Church of God, Walkersville, MD. Howard worked for the Ox Fiber Brush Co. for many years prior to his retirement. In his spare time he enjoyed taking care of his car and his lawn.

He is survived by his children Jerry Campbell and wife Donna of Woodsboro, MD and Tina Remsburg and husband Michael of Frederick, MD; grandchildren Keith Campbell and wife Jennifer, Deborah Smith, Tim Campbell, Todd Campbell and wife Teresa, Tom Campbell and wife Diana, Stephanie Clark and husband Phil and Tiffany DePasquale and husband Ronnie; great-grandchidren Alexis and Hailey Clark, Chad and Brandon Smith, Allison, Shannon and Alex Campbell, Abigail Hanks, Kristin, Kayla, Todd and Ty Campbell and Travis, Alexis, Trevor and Trent Campbell, and a great-great grandson, Hunter Kaetzel. Howard will also be remembered by his special lifelong friends the Rev. James Rhodes and Ellen Hildebrand and the late Leroy Hildebrand.

He is preceded in death by his son Robert N. Campbell and three sisters and five brothers.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 7-9PM where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 2 at 11AM. Pastor Gene Cecil, Pastor John Kenney and Rev. Wallace Lusk will officiate.

Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
