Hla Tin "Walter" Kyaw, 68, of Keedysville, Maryland, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown.
Born on May 31, 1950, in Yangon, Burma, he was the son of the late Aung Pe and Tin Tin.
He had earned a doctorate degree and was the owner and operator of Alex Service Corporation. He was a former member of the Lions Club and enjoyed golfing and swimming in his spare time. While working in his convenience store, he loved joking around with everyone that came in and formed valuable relationships within the Boonsboro community.
He is survived by his wife, Jung Ja Song; his daughter, Myint Thiri Kyaw; his grandchildren; his three brothers; and five sisters; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law; and his nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro, Maryland.
