Hilda Ramsburg

Mrs. Hilda G. Ramsburg, 85, of Thurmont, died on Friday, May 6, 2011, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the husband of the late Worthington Washington Ramsburg who died in 1996.

Born on March 9, 1926, in Barthlows, she was the daughter of the late William Washington and Clara Elise Cutsail Gue. Hilda was a seamstress, retiring from Claire Frock’s in Thurmont; but her greatest joy in life was being a homemaker and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed, spending time with her family as well as going to yard sales and attending church social functions.

Surviving are children: James W. Ramsburg of Colorado, Patricia Huse and husband Carl of Frederick, Larry Ramsburg and wife Sherri of Fairfield, PA and Wayne E. Ramsburg of Thurmont; grandchildren: Debbie Whipp, Karen Kanode, Wanda Huse, Michelle Ramsburg, Michael Ramsburg, Larry Ramsburg, Doug Ramsburg and Wendy Ramsburg; great grandchildren: Jonathon Stanbaugh, McKinna Stanbaugh, Chaze Ramsburg, Amanda Lamkin, Brandon Whipp and Derrick Whipp. Mrs. Ramsburg was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Huse; a granddaughter, Shannon Boone; a brother, William Gue and sisters: Lillian Gue, Edna Wachter and Mable Spurlock. Hilda will also be remembered by special friends: Charlotte Stang, Joyce and Joni Reed all of Thurmont

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Monday, May 9, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 10, with Rev. Warren Rice officiating.

Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens Frederick.
