Herbert G. {Herb} {Pap} Tyeryar

Herbert G. Tyeryar, Herb, Pap, 78, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 21, 2007. He was the husband of the late Beverly Helen Wachter Tyeryar who passed away in 1971.

Born, December 6, 1928 in Frederick, MD he was the son of the late Frederick G. and Elsie N. Tyeryar.

He was a member of Faith United Church of Christ in Frederick.

Herb was a well known and highly respected concrete contractor for over 45 years. He was previous owner and founder of Herbert G. Tyeryar Inc.. After his retirement he enjoyed working with his nephew, Richard Tyeryar Concrete. Years ago Herb raised and raced thoroughbred horses at Charlestown Race Track.

He is survived by his five children, Darryl H. Tyeryar of Bland, Virginia, Colin W. Tyeryar Sr. of Bland, Virginia, Beth C. Tyeryar of Frederick, MD, Arla N. Beall and husband Mike of Frederick, MD and Carrie L. Sites and husband Cory of Fairfield, PA, 15 grandchildren, Kimberly, Beverly, Isaac, Angie, Colin Jr., Jeremiah, Josh and Travis Tyeryar, Ira and Matthew Biser, Angel Kurtz, Joseph and Jeremy Ruthvin, Nashota and Cheyenne Sites, 10 great grandchildren, Heather, Brittany, Megan, Hailey, Colin III, Calvin, Madison, Adrianna, Emily and Rebecca, 3 sisters, Evelyn Angleberger, Connie Steinhaus and Freda Martinez. He will also be remembered by his special friend Jim Myers, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his two sisters, Alice Staley and Elsie Blank, four brothers, Reid, Ben, Jack and Charles Tyeryar.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, March 23, 2007 from 5:00-9:00 PM.

Services: Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 24, 2007 at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Marilyn E. Washburn officiating.

Interment will be in Faith United Church of Christ Cemetery, Frederick.

His grandsons, Ira, Colin Jr., Joseph, Jeremy, Josh and Jeremiah will serve as pallbearers.
