Herbert Eugene Weedon Sr.

Herbert Eugene Weedon Sr., 83, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Frederick Health Hospital.

Herbert Attended Lincoln High School. His fondest of jobs, was the many years as grounds maintenance for Albert Brodsky.

Herbert was a member of the Catoctin Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Herb, as he is affectionately known, always gave a smile to whoever needed one and was known for his sense of humor. He loved helping others and traveling with family and friends.  

He is survived by his queen and sunshine of 59 years Velma Lea Brown Weedon, daughter Nina Weedon and sons Luther Weedon Sr., Tyrone Weedon Sr., and his wife Tina, all of Frederick, MD, and Herbert Weedon Jr., of Maine. Grandchildren; Tyrone Jr., Luther Jr., Jessica, Samantha, Tia, Taris, Joanna, and Bud, great-grandchildren; Tyrone III, Theodore, Noah, Kennedy, Erza, and Freya, along with numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and in-laws. He is also survived by his sister Betty Lou Rowe of Martinsburg, West Virginia.

Left to cherish his memory are special friends, Gilmore Brown and Phillip Lee Sr., as together they were known as the three musketeers.

He is preceded in death by his siblings, Shirley Lyles, and Howard Weedon of Kansas, Lewis Weedon of Frederick, and Earl Weedon, of Harrisburg, PA. 

The family invites family and friends to a public viewing from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Stauffer Funeral Home 1621 Opossumtown Pike Frederick, MD 21702.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Fairview Cemetery 680 East Church Street (Gas House Pike) Frederick, Maryland 21701 at 11:00 AM.
