Helen Theresa Cooperson

Helen Theresa Proth Cooperson of Frederick, Maryland (formerly of Chester, Pennsylvania; Willingboro, New Jersey; and Beltsville, Maryland) died April 23, 2017 at the Vindobona Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 2, 1938 in Wilmington Delaware to Earl Proth and Josephine Lubas Proth. She was a very loving wife and mother. During her life, she was a great homemaker as well as worked at a variety of places including Rancocas Valley Hospital, the Willingboro Emergency Squad, and McMillan Publishing. She had also volunteered for Willingboro Public Schools and Beltsville Elementary School. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Martin Cooperson, Sr.; children, Martin Jr. (with wife Denise) of Lafayette, Louisiana, Michael (with wife Tracey) of Beverly, New Jersey, and Jennifer (with husband Trevor Williams) of Frederick, Maryland; and granddaughter Elise Scotten. She was the sister of the late Joanne Houchins and Esther Akley. She will be dearly missed by her family.
There will be a small graveside service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery on Friday, April 28th at 10:00 am.
The family is extremely grateful for the excellent care given to her by the staff at Frederick Memorial Hospital and Vindobona Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
