Helene Sauriol

Helene Sauriol , 96, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Homewood at Crumland Farms in Frederick, MD surrounded by her family.

Born on April 12, 1923, in Montreal, Quebec Canada. She was the daughter of the late Hector Teasdale and Eva  (Goulet) Teasdale.

She was home schooled and went on to attend business school.  She worked for a jeweler and came to the United States in 1945.  She worked at the French and Belgium embassy's meeting her husband at the Belgium embassy who was also from Montreal, Quebec Canada.  She later worked for three international airlines, retiring in 1986 after 25 years from Aer Lingus.

She married Pierre Sauriol in March of 1947 her husband of 49 years. Mr. Sauriol died in 1996.  They had 5 children, Elizabeth Ward, John Sauriol and wife Patricia, Stephen Sauriol and wife Janet and Jacqueline Sauriol.  She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Brian, Jeffrey, Kelly, Nicole, Laura, Jennifer, Emily and Kyle and 6 great grandchildren, Blake, Abigail,Olivia, Cole, Avery and Finley.

She loved maple syrup, playing dominos, baking, entertaining and traveling. She was also involved in the Eucharistic ministries with St. Katharine Drexel, but most of all she loved spending time with family and friends.

She is predeceased by her son, Michael Sauriol; daughter, Elizabeth Ward,  and sons in law, Edward Ward and David Clarke.

A celebration of Helene's life will take place from 10 to 12 p.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Homewood at Crumland Farms, 7407 Willow Road in Frederick, MD. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Frederick County.
