Mrs. Helen E. Gaither, 89 of Brunswick, MD. died Friday, August 24, 2007 at the Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown, MD. She was the wife of Norman Johnny Gaither.

Born August 25, 1917 in Frederick, MD., she was the daughter of the late James Parkinson and Barbara Eckerd Roby.

Mrs. Gaither was a member of the First Baptist Church in Brunswick where she taught Sunday School and was choir director. She was President of the Brunswick High School Class of 1934, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Frederick Chapter #79. Helen enjoyed playing the piano, the organ and baking. She loved spending time with her family and especially shopping with her daughter.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter Barbara Desiderio and husband George of Falls Church, VA, her devoted niece Jo Ellen Fisher and many other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers James and Franklin Roby and her sister Mary Payne.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Maple Avenue, Brunswick on Monday, August 27, from 7 - 9 p.m

Services: Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 28 at 11:00 a.m.

Entombment Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
