Mrs. Helena (Rippeon ) Long, 91, of Frederick, died on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at Frederick Memorial Hospital . She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years Herman E. Long.
Born on April 20th, 1918 near McKaig, MD she was a daughter of the late Rodney and Katie ( Hesson ) Rippeon. Mrs. Long was a long time member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Frederick. She devoted her life to her family and home.
Surviving beside her husband are one son; Wayne E. Long and wife Eleanor of Braddock Heights, three grandchildren; Michael W. Long and wife Tammy, Patrick J. Long and wife Lisa, Christopher M. Long and wife Marilyn, four great-grandchildren; Shaun M., Tyler W., Ashlyn S. and Matthew B. Long, sister-in-laws; Alma and Betty Rippeon.
She was preceded in death by a son; Richard Dick E. Long, four brothers; Vernon, Austin, Harry and Glen Rippeon, a sister; Ruth Eichelberger, sister-in-laws; Lillian & Grace Rippeon, and a brother-in-law; Kenneth Eichelberger.

Services: Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 23rd, at 11:30 a.m. in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Rev. Dr. Harold B. Wright II will officiate.
