Helen Piepoli

Helen M. Piepoli, 96, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on July 20, 2017  at  Homewood at Crumland Farms. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Carl Robert Piepoli. Born on June 30, 1921, in Iola, Kansas, she was the daughter of Alex Roscoe Stroup and Sarah Catherine Ewing Stroup.

She was devoted to her family and friends and enjoyed making new friends during her time at Homewood. Helen was a graduate of The University of Kansas receiving a degree in Microbiology. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

Helen is survived by children, Richard G. Piepoli of Seven Valleys, Pennsylvania, Susan J. Miller and her husband C. Richard Miller, Jr. of Frederick, MD and their family Stephen M. Miller and his wife Laura C. Miller and Helen's great grand-daughter, Charlotte E. Miller all of Frederick, MD. and Christopher A. Miller and his wife, Erica Bidwell of Alexandria,VA.; Carleen J. Basik and her husband Herbert M. Basik of Williamsburg, Virginia.  She is also survived by her loving sister, Marjory S. Walters of Bridgewater, N.J.

A celebration of Helen's life will take place in the Chapel at Homewood at Crumland Farms of Frederick on Saturday, August 26, 2017  at 11am. Rev. Dr. Steve Larsen and Chaplain Suzanne Morris will officiate. Joche Wilmot will provide musical selections. The family will receive friends from 10-11am, prior to the service

Interment will be private at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
