Helen Foreman
January 22, 1937 — August 20, 2016
Mrs. Helen Geneva Foreman "Boonie," 79, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Citizens Nursing Home. She was the wife of Charles "Jock' Foreman. They were married for 60 years.
Born in Ijamsville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Elton and Flossie Hallman-Thompson( Frank Foreman.) She graduated from Lincoln High School. She was employed by Crystal Laundry, Truck Stop, and Jeanne Bussard Center.
Helen was of the Methodist faith. She was a loving mother and enjoyed being around her family and friends.
Boonie was the mother of Anna Harper (Steven), Emma Harper (Charles), and Phyllis Foreman all of Frederick; the sister of Robert "Dickie" Thompson of PA, Ola "Bobbie" Thompson, Mary "Cookie" Thompson, Ruth Ann "Jenny" Ambush, and Mary "Lola Mae" Thompson all of Frederick; two godsons Jeffery Thompson and Andre Weedon; 11 grandchildren, 31 great-granchildren, 1 great-great grandson, numerous nephews and nieces, and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by one son Charles "Buck" Foreman, Jr.; two daughters Shirley and Josephine Foreman; three brothers Marion "Gene Thompson, Charles "Charlie Buck" Thompson, and Clarence "Jump Study" Thompson; three sisters Rosetta Thompson, Myrtle Thompson, and Evelyn "Bessie" Bowens; one niece Delores "Mudah" Thompson; 2 sister-in-laws Francis "Fran" Bowins Thompson and Anna "Sis" Barnes Thompson, and 2 great-grandchildren Ja' Heart Foreman and Ivyaira Harper. The family would like to thank the Hospice of Frederick Co. for all of their care.
She will be sadly missed.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 6-8PM where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 27 at 1PM. Bishop Merle Lyles will officiate.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Troy Thompson, Richard Thompson, Charles Thompson, Robert Bowens, Christopher Carroll and Varian Harrington will act as pall bearers and Karl Layer, Timothy Thompson, Clarence Thompson and Martinez Boyce will act as honorary pall bearers.
