Heather Lynne Napoli Ryce, 23, of Boonsboro, Md., died unexpectedly Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at the Washington County Hospital.
Born October 30, 1984, in Hagerstown, Heather was the daughter of James John and Cathy Lynne Hausler Napoli of Boonsboro.
She was a 2002 graduate of Boonsboro High School. A member of Phi Theta Kappa, Heather graduated from Hagerstown Community College in 2004. In 2006, she graduated from Hood College. At Hood she was a member of Sigma Beta Delta. She was working toward a Master's Degree in Science, Finance from the John's Hopkins University.
She was employed as a senior financial analyst at LACE Financial in Frederick, Md.
In addition to her parents, Heather is survived by her husband, Joshua Allan Ryce, whom she married December 31, 2005; sister, April Lynne Napoli of Boonsboro and brother, Shane Michael and wife, Stephanie Ann Hausler of Keedysville, Md.; grandparents, Jennie Napoli of Barefoot Bay, Florida and Catherine Hausler of Keedysville; nieces and nephews, Emma Catherine Hausler and Grant Frederick Hausler and Tyler Ryce, Faith Ryce, Conner Ryce and Julia Ryce; aunts and uncles, Gene and Jacquie Hausler, Deane Hausler, Denise Jayne, Aubrey and Billy Jo Myers and Mary Napoli; mother-in-law, Kimberly Chilcote; and cousins, Ryan Deane Hausler, Jonathan and wife, Cindy, Hausler, Stephen Hausler, Amy Schollenberger, Samantha Jayne, Erika Jayne, Shelby Hausler and Alexis Hausler.
Heather was preceded in death by grandparents, Salvatore John Napoli and Harold Vincent Hausler; and her father-in-law, Craig Ryce.
Visitation will be held from 12 to 4 p.m., Sunday, June 22 and one hour prior to services Monday, June 23 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, P.A. in Boonsboro.
A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Jerry M. Cline officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Washington County, 13011 Maugansville Road, Hagerstown, MD 21740 or to the charity of your choice.
