Heather Dee Johnson, 71, of Keymar, Maryland, passed from this life on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Frederick Health Hospital. She was the loving wife of Darrell Johnson, whom she married on June 10, 1972.
Born on October 12, 1953, in Binghamton, NY, she was the daughter of the late Walter Wall and Clairbeth Jane (Ross) Wall.
Heather was raised in Burtonsville, MD and was a member of the 1st graduating class of Paint Branch High School. Heather and Darrell first met when they both sang in church choir at Liberty Grove Methodist Church in Burtonsville when she was 16 years old. Darrell walked in and asked his friend, "who is that pretty blonde girl?" They were marred two and a half years later when she was 18.
They moved to Indiana in 1976 before moving back to Maryland in 1980, where they raised three beautiful children, Angela Lynn, Justin Ross, and Jeremy Claude.
Heather was an integral part of the family business, Montgomery Automotive, which was started by Darrell and his father. She served as vice president, in the capacity of bookkeeper and fulfilled any additional jobs as needed.
Heather was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, cousin, and friend. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Angela Bowders and husband, Michael, of Libertytown; Justin Johnson and wife, Brandie, of Denton, MD; Jeremy Johnson and wife, Kassie, of Swanton, MD; five grandchildren, Gage, Kali, Wyatt, Madison, and Barbie; and a host of cousins, additional relatives, many dear friends, and church family.
She was predeceased by her parents and her brother.
The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 40 Fulton Avenue in Walkersville, MD.
A celebration of Heather's life journey will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Glade United Church of Christ, 21 Fulton Avenue in Walkersville, MD. Pastors Chad Weddle and Jerry Cline will officiate. Interment will follow in Glade Cemetery.
