Heather Marie Green, 51, of Boonsboro, MD, passed away Thursday, August 8th, 2024 at John Hopkins, Orleans Street in Baltimore, MD, surrounded by her loved ones.
After a lifetime of health complications, Heather received a donor heart on June 27th, 2024 (we are so ever grateful to that family) Heather fought for 6 weeks, having ups and downs battles. The ups are what her family will cherish forever.
Heather was born to Margaret Hanson, and the late Roy Green Sr. She is survived, not only by her biological mother, and stepfather, Arthur Hanson Sr, but she is also survived by whom she considered her Mom and Dad, Ralph and Bonnie Henson. Heather is also survived by her brothers, Roy Green (Dodie), James Green; stepbrothers, Arthur (Christal) Hanson, Jr., and Albert Hanson (Lisa); her sister, Vickie Mills; several nieces, Katie, Amber, Maggie, and Valerie, and nephews; Lloyd, Larry, Kai, and Lucas; and two great-nephews, Wesley and Augy; and let’s not forget her extended family, The Henson Clan.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Dwayne Henson.
Born in raised in Boonsboro, she was a 1992 graduate of Boonsboro High School, serving as their FFA Chaplain, which she did with pride. She was a member of the Washington County Antique Tractor Club. You probably saw her and her tractor (Massey Ferguson 35) at your local tractor shows, or pulling events (pull back tractor). Heather was not a member of their club (Washington County Tractor Pullers Association), but if you owned a pulling tractor, you probably saw her at the line up, giving pullers and pull back tractors instructions on when and where to be. She was truly a blessing to both clubs. Heather was not only a part of those clubs, but she and Ralph were owners of Double H Farms, and Double H Lawn Service starting back in 1999.
She will be missed by all who knew her. Her smile, willingness to help out, her concern for others before herself, her famous saying when getting off the phone with anyone, “thank you, and god bless”.
Thank you, and God Bless
