Mr. Harvey A. Morgan, 76, of Frederick, died Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Golden Living Center. He was the husband of Joyce M. "Joy" Morgan.
Born September 24, 1936 in Frederick, he was the son of the late William and Ethel Hargett Morgan.
Mr. Morgan worked in the parts department at Don Phillips Jeep Eagle for 26 years. Additionally, he served in the Maryland National Guard for 11 years.
He enjoyed attending the tractor pull and the demolition derby at the Great Frederick Fair, as well as going to the 75-80 Drag Way. He also was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed just spending time outside. He loved going to the Frederick Airport and watching the airplanes takeoff and land.
Mr. Morgan bowled for many years with "the boys" at Arcade Bowling Alley. He loved collecting trains of all sorts.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, David and Paul; daughters, Lisa and Ruth; stepson, Donald; brother, Raymond (Tator) Morgan; sister, Sue Ford; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and his nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Betty Hoffman.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2013 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where services will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 11. Celebrant will be Jacqui Kreh.
Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
