Harry B. Hicks
January 11, 1940 — August 22, 2007
Harry B. Hicks, 67 of Frederick, Maryland formerly of Strasburg, VA, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at his home. He was the husband of 31 years to Jonnie D. Hicks.
Born January 11, 1940 in Louise, Virginia he was the son of the late Viola M. Grimm.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a son, Christopher G. Hicks and wife Lindsay and a granddaughter, Olivia A. Hicks all of Gettysburg. Surviving also are three sisters, Joyce Whitley, Shirley Armstrong and Louise Armstrong all of Richmond.
He will be remembered by all of his other family member and friends.
Harry was a member of the Frederick Moose Lodge and a previous member of the Moose Lodge in Strasburg. He retired as a meat cutter from Ukrops.
He played semi-pro football for the Richmond Saints. He also boxed golden gloves.
He was an honorable mention All American in football his
junior year in High School. He was a youth basketball, baseball and football coach.
Services: A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at Strasburg Moose Lodge, Strasburg, VA
