Harry Leslie King III, 28, of Frederick, Maryland, died Wednesday November 14, 2018, ending his ongoing struggle with addiction. Everyone who knew Harry loved him. He had such an engaging presence that instantaneously drew people close to him. His silly jokes and impressions, contagious laugh, and crazy antics brought laughter and happiness to everyone. Harry loved his family and friends. He always wanted to be with his “fam.” He was also passionate about his physique and “gains,” whatever that is; but he always found it at Gold’s Gym, all the while inspiring and motivating others to find theirs too. Playing video games, watching movies, and EDM concerts were just a few of his other favorite past times.
Harry loved his church home. He grew up in Frederick Christian Fellowship and considers many of the members his family. It was there that he developed his deep passionate belief in God. Harry’s intimate relationship with Christ carried him through his darkest times and gave him the strength to help others through theirs. He openly shared his faith and his unique set of circumstances and experiences enabled him to witness the gospel to many others in all sorts of situations.
Harry is survived by his father, Harry Leslie King, Jr.; mother, Patricia Buell; stepfather, George Buell; siblings, Madeline, Valerie, Tommy, and Kelly King, David & Jennifer, Chad, and Alizandra Buell; Grandparents, Tom Rhodes, Marion Beckwith, and Shirley King; and an enormous loving, supportive extended family full of aunts, uncles, cousins and loved ones.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Frederick Christian Fellowship Church, 10142 Hansonville Road in Frederick, MD. A celebration of Harry's life will take place immediately following the viewing also at Frederick Christian Fellowship Church. Interment will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at meeting at 1:00 PM at Stauffer Funeral Home 1621 Opossumtown Pike Frederick, MD 21702 to process to Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Harry would encourage those struggling with addiction to find their place in a program to achieve sobriety, sanity, serenity, and to embrace their higher power.
Find comfort in your memories, peace in his homecoming, and a little bit of envy in the fact that Harry already knows the ending to Game of Thrones.
