Mr. Harry B. Johnson, 72 y/o, of Mt. Airy, died Sunday, August 21, 2011 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. He was the husband of Luz Tamonan Johnson. Born July 7, 1939 in Joliet, Illinois was the foster son of the late Karl and Margaret Johnson.
Mr. Johnson served his Country in the U. S. Navy, retiring after 30 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and family, his chocolate labs Sophie and Naomi and grilling.
He is survived by a daughter Joy Johnson-Stone and husband Jason of Mt. Airy, grandchildren Marah Baugher, Victoria Stone and Elizabeth Stone, a brother Edward Johnson and wife Lucille of Illinois, his mother-in-law Magdalena, brothers and sisters-in-laws, and nieces and nephews of Philippines.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Boulevard, Mt. Airy on Saturday, August 27, from 12:00 Noon until service time at 2:00 pm with Rev. Tim May officiating.
