Mr. Harry E. Bengtson, 64, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Golden Living Center.
Born May 29, 1947 in Ishpeming, Michigan, he was the son of the late Bertil O. and Imbie Johnson Bengston.
Mr. Bengtson was employed for 21 years at Genstar, 5+ years at Frederick Brick Works and 4+ years at Bank Brothers Manufacturing. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie #1067 and the Redman Chippewa Tribe 19. Harry loved playing his guitar and listen to Johnny Cash music.
He is survived by his daughter Sue Strawsburg and husband Tim of Thurmont , two grandchildren Timothy Levi and Kristina A. Strawsburg all of Thurmont and a sister Joyce Haappala and niece Marylin Phare of Michigan. He will also be remembered by his ex-wife Nancy Lee Bengtson. He was preceded in death by a son Harry Bengtson, Jr.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Sunday, April 22, from 6 – 9:00 pm
Interment will be private.
