Mrs. Harriet Douglas, 62, of Frederick, MD passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013 at her home. She was the beloved wife of George "Bernie" Douglas.
Born on June 29, 1951 in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of Florence Trimble of Parkville, MD and the late Randolph William Delcher.
Mrs. Douglas enjoyed traveling with her girlfriends to any place tropical and playing the slots at Charlestown. Harriet was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan and was able to attend the 2013 Super Bowl in New Orleans for their victory.
In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by her children Kimberly Goad and husband James of Thurmont and son Geoffrey of Rockford, IL; grandchildren Chase Conner, Jackson Goad and Finley and Malcolm Douglas; sisters Dawn Ward, Mary Bonds and Trisha Castelli all of AR. She will also be remembered by her lifelong friends Amanda Linthicum, Beth Flannery, Carol Ann Robertson and Barbara Bennett.
She is preceded in death by her brother Randy Delcher and her step-father James Trimble.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Thursday, August 1, 2013 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at Resthaven Memorial Gardens on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 1 PM where interment will follow.
